All flights currently arrive at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) in Panama's capital "Panama City". Currently under construction is Panama's newest international airport, this new airport is being constructed in the Santa Clara area (10 minutes from Playa Blanca Resort, 15 minutes from Bijao/Sheraton Resort). Our new airport is scheduled to open in late 2013. Please remember that you must have a valid passport (visa's required by some countries) your passport most be valid for at least 6 month's before expiring.

General Information

When driving to Playa Blanca from Panama City, you will drive through a small Town called Coronado (approx. 30 minutes from the Units). In Coronado there is a little plaza with a store called “Rey”, this is a small North American style convenience store, with a little selection of North American brands that we are all familiar with. Also in the same plaza is a Cellular phone store that you can purchase a Panamanian Sim card for your phone, or for as little as $15.00 you can purchase a Pay as You Go cell phone and purchase a top up card.


Located with in 30 minutes of the Resort are several different styles of Restaurants, from fine dining to casual, local cuisine to North American - you decide.

The Rey Store is a 24hr super market located approx. 30 miles from the Playa Blanca Resort entrance. When travelling from Panama City on the InterAmerica Highway, the Rey Store is located in the City of Coronado. Conveniently located right beside the highway with easy access, the Rey Store has a wide selection of familiar North American supplies and accepts credit cards.
